Dieting and exercising may be hard, but luckily these are not the only ways to lose weight. There are tips and tricks you could use and burn off a few extra calories everyday. Here’s what you could do:
1. Drink a Glass of Water Before Every Meal
Drinking a glass of lukewarm water before a meal will get your metabolism going. It will also help you eat less. Water will help you manage and control your hunger, and it will also keep you hydrated, so there’s a very small probability you will reach for an unhealthy junk drink during the meal itself.
2. Keep Cool
When our bodies are exposed to slightly colder conditions, they try to warm up naturally. This process is called non-shivering thermogenesis and it burns a whole lot of calories! So, forget your blanket – your body can warm up naturally and lose at least a hundred calories while doing so!
3. Don’t Eat & Watch TV
Make sure you’re not distracted by anything while you’re having lunch or dinner. Although it may be relaxing to sit and have dinner while watching your favorite talk show, this is not a very smart thing to do if you’re trying to lose weight. You’re most likely to get caught up in the show and end up overeating.
4. Sleep More
If you don’t sleep enough or go to bed too late, you’ll probably feel tired and stressed out. This stress may cause you to snack out and make a diet sin you’ll regret later. If you’re rested and energized you will probably be motivated, too, which will help you make better and smarter food choices.
5. Drink Water
Staying hydrated is important for your skin, hair, nails and overall health. Drinking enough water will also make you feel full and help you manage your hunger. Also, it will minimize your cravings for unhealthy, calorific beverages.
Dancing can help you relieve stress levels and burn off a few extra calories! Make a dance playlist, fill it with your favorite songs and sing and dance until you feel that the stress is gone. Dancing is a great way to burn calories since it’s so much fun that we don’t feel like it’s actually exercising.
